Deadline to submit: Call for artists

July 20

Free

The Public Art and Civic Design Division (PA+CD)
of Pittsburgh’s Department of City Planning, on
behalf of the Department of Public Works and
CitiParks, invites artists to apply for the Art in
Parks program. The revolving pilot program will
consist of seven small-scale artistic interventions
in parks around Pittsburgh. One of these parks is Oakland’s very own Schenley Park, which offers art opportunities on furniture, smokestacks, and entrances to the underpass.

The compensation for each project is up to
$7,500. Proposals are due by July 20th, 2018.

Submissions should be sent to
pacd@pittsburghpa.gov the latest by July 20th,
with a subject line indicating which park site you
are applying to, as formatted here: “Art in the
Parks Submission/p#”.
