City As Our Makerspace: Developing Multiple Literacies for Self-Determination

September 17 | 6:00 pm - 7:20 pm

Free

What is the relationship between literacy and liberation? What does it mean to be able to “read the world” around you in order to navigate systems and experiences and build power internally and externally to shape the world in a way that supports you living your best life?

This workshop is a part of the City As Our Makerspace program- a collaborative approach to increasing economic opportunity in our community for women of color from Prototype PGH, Ujamaa Collective, Black Unicorn Library and Archive Project, A Peace of Mind, Inc., and FlowerHouse.

Refreshments and childcare will be provided. Please let us know if you require childcare when you RSVP.
