Cafe Innovation: Startup Ethics and Values

Ben Herndon, Head of AI strategy at Vista Private Equity will keynote the December Cafe IW focused on why investors care about companies having an ethics and values strategy.
The keynote will be followed by a discussion moderated by CMU’s CREATE Lab with a panel of founders from the recent AlphaLab Gear cohort that participated in the Ethics and Values pilot program. The panel will focus on how thinking about Ethics and Values from day 1 helped their company be more successful with customers, recruiting & retaining their team, and with fundraising.
The panel will offer practical advice and lessons learned that will be useful for other early-stage tech companies that want to create their own ethics strategy.
